WELCOME - Let’s Get Better! USRowing’s 2020 Annual Convention is going virtual this December! Although all of us would rather be meeting in person, COVID-19 had other plans. No worries though. In fact, this year’s convention promises to be bigger than ever with brand new diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) training that will be available free of charge to all of our members along with our ever-popular Para/Adaptive, Coaching Education, Business of Rowing and Referee tracks. And the best part is all of this great content is available from the convenience of home!

We’ll focus on getting better across the spectrum -- improving as coaches, creating more inclusive boathouses, strengthening our organizations as we come back from COVID-19, enhancing our physical and mental well-being, and more. While 2020 has been a challenging year, this year’s Annual Convention serves as a springboard to start 2021 off stronger, healthier, wiser … and better!

Masters Rower
When I move to Seattle I was always amazed by all the bodies of water in the city. And wherever you looked there was always a Rowing shell on the water. I was amazed by how beautiful it looked and how people look like they were so much at peace. I told a friend one day I wanna do that and she got me to talk to somebody who was a rower at Green Lake Rowing Club. That person brought in a master rowing brochure and my life changed forever! It never mattered to me if I was the only black person in a club - all I know is it was something that I loved to do and it brought me so much joy. Rowing has given  me the opportunity to row in local, national, and global regattas. The experiences I have enjoyed have changed my life.  Any opportunity I have -  I am always trying to convince people to try the sport of rowing.
