WELCOME - Let’s Get Better! USRowing’s 2020 Annual Convention is going virtual this December! Although all of us would rather be meeting in person, COVID-19 had other plans. No worries though. In fact, this year’s convention promises to be bigger than ever with brand new diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) training that will be available free of charge to all of our members along with our ever-popular Para/Adaptive, Coaching Education, Business of Rowing and Referee tracks. And the best part is all of this great content is available from the convenience of home!

We’ll focus on getting better across the spectrum -- improving as coaches, creating more inclusive boathouses, strengthening our organizations as we come back from COVID-19, enhancing our physical and mental well-being, and more. While 2020 has been a challenging year, this year’s Annual Convention serves as a springboard to start 2021 off stronger, healthier, wiser … and better!

*This session recording is for 2020 USRowing Convention Attendees only*

This presentation will introduce coaches to six factors of effective rigging analysis. The first part will show coaches the “how to” process for video capture, as well as the analysis to measure factor values. The second part will lead to an understanding of the factor values and provide a comparison to world championship crews. The final part of the presentation will provide coaches with an understanding of how to change rigging dimensions to adjust factor values and provide a more effective setup. Coaches need to understand effective rigging, but it is highly recommended that support staff attend this session, as they are often key people in the analysis process.
