WELCOME - Let’s Get Better! USRowing’s 2020 Annual Convention is going virtual this December! Although all of us would rather be meeting in person, COVID-19 had other plans. No worries though. In fact, this year’s convention promises to be bigger than ever with brand new diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) training that will be available free of charge to all of our members along with our ever-popular Para/Adaptive, Coaching Education, Business of Rowing and Referee tracks. And the best part is all of this great content is available from the convenience of home!

We’ll focus on getting better across the spectrum -- improving as coaches, creating more inclusive boathouses, strengthening our organizations as we come back from COVID-19, enhancing our physical and mental well-being, and more. While 2020 has been a challenging year, this year’s Annual Convention serves as a springboard to start 2021 off stronger, healthier, wiser … and better! Register now!

Bettina Callary will present us with evidence from the literature to challenge us with the problems link to our typical approach to the “art” of coaching. Many of us do the same thing over and over again and some of us even choose to hide their coaching secrets as their competitive advantage. Bettina will address the question of innovations as it relates to bridging theory to practice and our understanding of the art and science of coaching.
